Beijing's craft beer revolution is happening right now — and it's happening in the hutongs! This evening tour takes you to 3 of the city's best craft breweries, each with its own unique vibe: from a hidden courtyard nano-brewery to a rooftop bar with Drum Tower views. At each stop, enjoy a flight of locally brewed beers paired with delicious food — grilled skewers, artisan pizzas, craft burgers, or traditional Beijing snacks with a twist. Whether you're a hop head or just beer-curious, you'll discover why Beijing's craft beer scene is the most exciting in Asia.

5:00 PM — Hotel Pickup: Your guide (a certified beer enthusiast!) meets you at your hotel. The craft beer crawl begins at the perfect time — as the sun sets and the hutongs come alive with evening energy.
Stop 1 — Hidden Courtyard Brewery (5:30 PM): Tucked away in a 100-year-old courtyard home near Nanluoguxiang, this nano-brewery produces small-batch beers you won't find anywhere else. Enjoy a flight of 4 samples: a crisp Beijing Blonde Ale, a citrusy IPA, a rich Stout, and a seasonal special (perhaps a green tea wheat beer or chrysanthemum saison). Paired with BBQ lamb skewers grilled over charcoal in the courtyard — the ultimate beer snack. The brewer often comes out to chat about his creations.
Stop 2 — Rooftop Brewpub (7:00 PM): Walk 10 minutes through the hutongs to a rooftop brewpub with stunning views of the Drum and Bell Towers. This is Beijing's original craft brewery (established 2010). Try their flagship IPA, a hazy New England-style pale ale, and a refreshing wheat beer. Food pairing: artisan pizza from their wood-fired oven or craft burgers made with locally sourced ingredients. Watch the sunset over the old city — this view alone is worth the trip.
Stop 3 — Trendy Taproom (8:30 PM): The final stop is a modern taproom in the Gulou area with 20+ taps of Chinese and imported craft beers. Your guide helps you choose a final flight based on what you've enjoyed so far. Food pairing: Beijing fusion snacks — think jianbing with pulled pork, or mapo tofu nachos. Mingle with Beijing's young creative crowd — artists, musicians, and entrepreneurs who make this scene special.
9:30 PM: Your guide escorts you back to your hotel. Optionally, your guide can point you toward more nightlife spots if you want to continue the evening on your own.
